As our Weekend Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations, ensuring our books are closed accurately and on time before the week begins. You will collaborate with our finance team to streamline processes and ensure compliance with all accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions for the weekend period.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Ensure all journal entries are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support month-end close procedures by preparing necessary schedules and reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
