Responsibilities
- Process and post daily financial transactions and maintain the General Ledger with precision.
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll data and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to support the monthly and annual closing cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Mandatory Requirement: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring schedule.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
