Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 50+ employees
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Handle sales tax filings and regulatory compliance documentation
- Support month-end closing procedures with strict deadlines
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly reviews
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel with advanced functions
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Tennessee tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and error-prevention skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Experience with multi-currency transactions a plus
