Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements for Louisiana businesses
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate journal entries
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and implement audit recommendations
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and Louisiana-specific regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
- Experience with non-profit or manufacturing accounting a plus
