Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted timely.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, verifying invoices and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure all tax filings are completed on schedule.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to budget and forecast company performance.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
