Responsibilities

  • Manage Monthly Close: Oversee the general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations for the month-end close occurring on weekends.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and variance analysis reports for review by the senior management team.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and payments with a focus on accuracy and timely disbursement during high-volume periods.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
  • Compliance & Audits: Assist external auditors during their quarterly visits and ensure all financial documentation is organized and accessible.
  • Expense Management: Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and SAP or Oracle is highly preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams.
