Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume monthly and weekly general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, trial balances, and regulatory reports for the weekend close.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with strict adherence to company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual audits, ensuring all documentation is compliant with GAAP.
- Review and approve expense reports and invoices submitted during the weekend period.
- Collaborate with the week-day finance team to ensure seamless transition and data accuracy.
- Maintain and organize financial archives and digital records for audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during weekend shifts.
