Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, 1065).
- Ensure strict adherence to IRS regulations and state tax compliance requirements.
- Conduct tax research and analyze financial data to identify optimization opportunities for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax positions and answer inquiries regarding their filings.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte) efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, or auditing is preferred.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure is a significant plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
