Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Lead internal audits and compliance initiatives to maintain SOX/GAAP standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting processes
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for efficiency gains
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audit preparation, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing teams and process optimization projects
- Valid Louisiana CPA license or actively pursuing certification
