Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal/state tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic tax planning advice
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient compliance work
- Collaborate with senior advisors on complex tax matters and audits
- Stay current with evolving tax legislation and IRS regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of individual and corporate taxation
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- New Mexico residency or willingness to relocate
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
