Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of loan applications, including financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow analysis.
- Assess creditworthiness of borrowers and recommend approval or denial based on established risk criteria.
- Prepare and maintain detailed credit memos and reports for the credit committee.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of potential delinquency.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to ensure accurate and consistent credit decisions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting credit standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
