Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance explanations
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, GL reconciliation, and payroll
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with audit support
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Streamline accounting workflows using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros) and accounting software
- Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder reporting and process improvement
