Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with strict deadlines
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risks
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with vendor/client management
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record of meeting tight financial reporting deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
