Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain precise financial records using QuickBooks and proprietary accounting software
- Generate monthly financial reports and variance analyses for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and Virginia state tax requirements
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual financial reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with night shift availability
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- CPA certification or equivalent professional designation preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and Virginia tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with 99.5%+ accuracy in financial transactions
- Ability to work independently during evening hours (5 PM - 1 AM)
