Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to assess borrower creditworthiness.
- Perform ratio analysis and trend analysis to evaluate the financial health of potential and existing clients.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and recommendation reports for loan committees.
- Monitor account performance and identify early warning signs of payment delinquency.
- Develop and maintain internal credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure complex loan transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state banking regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a related financial role.
- Strong working knowledge of financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with credit management software (e.g., FICO, Experian, or similar) is a plus.
