Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledgers
- Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheets with detailed variance analysis
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Process payroll and tax filings for Nebraska-based businesses
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online for client workflows
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and audits
- Develop financial reports for business decision-making support
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Nebraska payroll tax filing certification (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven track record of meeting strict monthly deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for client financial consultations
- Experience with multi-state accounting operations
