Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the tax preparation process during peak fiscal seasons.
- Ensure all financial data is entered accurately into accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and variance reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Premier preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Thorough understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
