Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate digital and physical financial records using QuickBooks and Xero
- Process accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll submissions
- Prepare monthly financial statements and VAT returns for diverse client portfolios
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to management
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and implement internal controls
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Support month-end closing processes with precision and timeliness
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK-based bookkeeping experience with SME clients
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions)
- ATT or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error financial record management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent communication skills for client reporting and team collaboration
