Responsibilities
- Maintain and update general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local and national financial regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certification (e.g., AAT) is desirable.
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus.
