Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial audits and variance analysis.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards.
- Oversee payroll processing and assist with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Streamline financial processes and implement best practices for remote accounting workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- High level of self-motivation and time management skills for a remote work environment.
- Ability to obtain necessary professional certifications (CMA, CPA) within 2 years of hire.
