Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage daily transactions, including processing invoices, handling payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and assist in the closing process.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
