Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end/quarter-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead financial reporting initiatives for executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage complex tax compliance and audit coordination activities
- Develop and maintain internal controls for SOX compliance
- Analyze variance reports and provide strategic financial insights
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven track record with GAAP compliance and SEC reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing accounting teams of 3+ professionals
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven, high-volume environments
