Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) with variance analysis
- Oversee QuickBooks software implementation and ensure data integrity
- Coordinate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Optimize financial workflows using advanced Excel functions and automation tools
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero tolerance for errors
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial software and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven track record of managing high-volume financial transactions
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
