Responsibilities

  • Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records by performing daily bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • AP/AR Management: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Payroll Support: Process payroll for client accounts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on tax laws and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure all financial activities remain compliant.
  • Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to maintain client financial data.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a strong commitment to financial integrity.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Organization: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
