Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and year-end tax preparation.
- Perform month-end close procedures and generate financial reports.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
