Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and reconciliation processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance explanations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely processing
- Coordinate internal/external audits and maintain SOX compliance documentation
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic business decisions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost analysis initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables), and ERP systems
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage complex reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and process improvement
- Experience managing accounting teams and cross-departmental projects
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
