Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and reconciliation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for federal government contractors
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal acquisition regulations (FAR)
- Lead internal audits and support external audit processes
- Develop and implement financial controls and reporting systems
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain detailed documentation for DCAA audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in federal contracting
- Expertise in DCAA audit compliance and FAR cost principles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Deep understanding of government accounting standards
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in high-stakes environments
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for errors
