Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process and maintain tax filings.
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure data integrity across all financial systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.
