Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific Louisiana tax codes
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings for multi-state operations
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial examinations
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep understanding of Louisiana tax laws and federal compliance requirements
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
