Job Overview
As a Remote Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. You will manage daily financial transactions, ensure accuracy in reporting, and provide strategic insights to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure balances match and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Tax Preparation: Gather and organize financial documents required for tax filings and work with external tax professionals.
- Expense Management: Review and categorize expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
