Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Tax Preparation: Assist with federal and state tax filings, ensuring all deadlines are met and regulatory requirements are followed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting efficiency.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure internal controls are strictly adhered to.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated individual capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a remote setting.
