Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, including daily journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, issue payments, and collect receivables in a timely manner to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets, for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring tax filings and deductions are accurate.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience required; prior experience in the San Antonio area is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage 50; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and manage complex data sets with precision.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Must demonstrate high ethical standards and confidentiality.
