Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly close procedures to maintain financial records.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of local and state tax filings under the supervision of senior staff.
- Maintain and organize financial documents, spreadsheets, and digital archives.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates welcome).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
