Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Generate and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and budget support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
