Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Accurately process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all records match financial statements and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist the senior accountant in preparing tax returns and maintaining necessary tax documentation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; high school diploma with relevant experience accepted.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and vendors.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
