Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger and accounts payable/receivable.
- Process payroll for part-time staff and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support the annual tax filing process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Manage expense reports and assist with budget tracking for various departments.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
