Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in collaboration with external auditors.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, ensuring all entries are posted correctly and on time.
- Reconcile credit card statements and vendor accounts to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the payroll process by ensuring accurate time tracking and expense reporting.
- Organize and digitize financial records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in data entry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros are a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
