Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary schedules and journal entries.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee time records and tax filings.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in accordance with state regulations.
- Assist with financial audits and provide requested documentation to external partners.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years required).
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
