Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA, FL, NY)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and voluntary benefits enrollment
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies with HRIS systems
- Prepare year-end tax forms (W-2, 1099) and support IRS/EDD inquiries
- Implement process improvements to reduce errors and enhance efficiency
- Train HR staff on payroll policies and system updates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP certification (Workforce Now preferred)
- Expertise in CA labor laws (AB 5, meal/rest break compliance)
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- PHR or CPP certification strongly preferred
- Proven track record of zero-audit payroll cycles
- Experience with time and attendance systems (Kronos)
