Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns using ProSystem fx and Lacerte
- Conduct tax research to resolve complex IRS and state compliance issues
- Client consultation on tax-saving strategies and year-round tax planning
- Coordinate with bookkeepers and financial advisors for integrated client services
- Ensure adherence to IRS guidelines and tax code updates
- Maintain accurate client documentation and electronic filing systems
- Support audit assistance and tax notice resolution processes
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience (individual & business)
- Active PTIN and current IRS continuing education credits
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in team environment
- Florida residency preferred for local client support
