Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns and ensure all tax filings are submitted on time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.
