Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ client portfolios including AR/AP, payroll integration, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end/year-end financial statements with variance analysis and executive summaries
- Oversee multi-state tax compliance and sales remittance across 3+ jurisdictions
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online with advanced custom reporting
- Lead month-end close processes with zero tolerance for reconciliation discrepancies
- Train junior staff on accounting software and SOP documentation
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables), and Xero
- CPA or CMA certification preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and GAAP compliance
- Advanced knowledge of Ohio tax regulations and sales remittance
- Exceptional analytical skills with 100% reconciliation accuracy track record
- Strong leadership experience with team management or mentorship
- Ability to manage competing deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
