As a key member of our finance department, you'll play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Coordinate internal and external audits while maintaining compliance with SOX regulations
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Lead cross-departmental projects supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with pivot tables/VBA
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with ERP system implementation and process optimization
