Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Lead complex month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with zero tolerance for errors
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage tax preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in data analysis and automation
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Proven track record of leading successful audit engagements
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information
