Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Transactions: Accurately record and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all accounts are up-to-date and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to maintain the general ledger and track financial data.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary documentation and assist the senior accounting team with year-end tax filings.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses to ensure compliance with company policies and budgets.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and internal team members.
- Integrity: High level of confidentiality and ethical standards regarding sensitive financial data.
