Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Accurately process invoices, prepare payments, and ensure all financial transactions are recorded timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform nightly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, financial statements, and monthly reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll data, ensuring all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the closing of monthly accounting cycles, including journal entries and accruals.
- Data Entry & Organization: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience is required.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Xero is mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM (or similar night shift schedule).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
