Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial statements are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Process payroll for employees using [Software Name], ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including adjusting entries and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses for management review.
- Reconcile credit card statements and manage petty cash funds.
- Collaborate with external accountants during tax season to ensure accurate filing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect and correct errors in financial data.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll tax regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
