Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly and on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing to avoid penalties.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and collections.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure internal controls are effective.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations in the United States.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a plus.
