The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the management team to provide financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) to track expenses and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status is preferred.
