Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with evolving IRS regulations
- Assist in audit support and documentation preparation for client inquiries
- Develop client relationships through proactive communication and tax planning advice
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte) for efficient return processing
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex tax strategies
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with firm standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA candidates preferred)
- Strong knowledge of federal and Hawaii state tax regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication skills with attention to detail
- Valid Hawaii CPA license or active pursuit required
- Ability to start immediately upon offer acceptance
